About Me
Solving one problem at a time and on a mission to spread
badminton love !
Hello again,

I was born and raised in Penang, Malaysia before relocating to the UK in 2008. Since then I have completed my PhD in Human Movement Energy Harvesting before working on multidisciplinary research projects. The projects are focused on applying remote sensing spectrometry techniques within a commercial environment specifically in Precision Agriculture/Agritech, Earth Observation and UAV sectors.

I currently work as a Project Manager and Technology Research Manager managing and delivering a £3.1 million project at the Flood Innovation Centre (FIC) which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Â
The Flood Innovation Centre was set up by the University of Hull's Energy and Environment Institute (EEI) to drive innovation and support different approaches and solutions to flood resilience.
Â
Working in the local community, with businesses, schools and education providers, the Flood Innovation Centre is helping to establish the Humber as a centre of excellence for developments in flood innovation.Â
Â
Besides managing the project, my technical role is to help companies develop their innovative ideas and bring them through to commercialisation with the aim of preventing, combating and living with flooding.
NATIONAL SPACE ACADEMY
I am also involved with the National Space Academy as a Project Scientist. I am mainly involved with the National Space Academy's international work* as well as their Career's Conference for young students. This role provides me with the opportunity to show, teach, demonstrate and help inspire our next generation to the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) education. Educating our next generation is something very important to me and I am extremely proud of the work the National Space Academy does.

You can also check out the blog written by Alasdair Hamilton, the Head of Science and Innovation Team at the British Embassy in Beijing, which is a good read about some of the international projects which the National Space Academy is involved in.Â

BADMINTON
Outside of work, I probably will be found doing something related to Badminton in some shape or form. It could be playing, watching, coaching, training, competing, stringing, filming or editing something for my YouTube channel which all relates to badminton. I am extremely passionate about the sport and am very excited to share my love for badminton along with the knowledge and experience I have so I hope you join me for the ride on my YouTube channel.
